Far too many people are looking for the right person, instead of trying to be the right person.

If bees become extinct we will have exactly 4 YEARS to live on this planet. I don’t understand how “not caring” is more important than your life…

Does it get lonely being a trucker? I love to drive, I've never driven something so huge but I've always been infatuated by semis. At age 22 I am a retail manager, makin about $33,000/yr. but if it ever falls through... I'm loving the idea of driving. Pros and cons? :)

Hi! It can at times get lonely, but a lot of that depends on the type of person you are. If it doesn’t bother you to be alone, or away from friends and family for long periods of time then trucking wouldn’t bother you too much. I have days where melancholy sets in for no real reason and all I want to be in ‘HOME’ but those days are far and few between now- but I’ve been trucking for over 20 years and you get a certain mindset I would guess for when it’s time to hit the road.

As for pros; if you love to drive like me, you get your fix. Decent money and you are your own boss for the most part. You see beautiful things (if you look) because there can be a lot of freeway driving, and those miles can get monotonous after a while.

The biggest con for me is the government and all the rules and regulations they are handing down to us by non driving assholes who wouldn’t know the first thing about a truck and what we deal with out here day in and day out…
